What are LED neon signs made of?
Our LED neon signs are made from proprietary PVC molding technology, and are mounted on high quality acrylic as backing (unless ordered to other specifications).
Do LED Neon signs consume a lot of Energy?
Our LED neon signs produce relatively no heat, are energy-efficient, and are less expensive compared to traditional glass tube neon. LED neon signs look almost identical to traditional neon ones but are much more flexible which in turn help us get a lot of customisation into your designs. One other important advantage of LED neon signs is that its colours can be changed, and a variety of effects and patterns can be programmed into the product.
Can you use LED Neon signs outdoors?
Yes, we can produce waterproof versions for outdoor events and for outdoor permanent installation. Please specify that you’d like your sign to be made for the outdoors when you submit your custom order inquiry, or choose it directly (for Outdoors) on our Custom Text product page.
What’s the typical lead time for custom orders?
All orders are made by hand in our own international production facility with the utmost care and attention to detail. Our lead times are 3 weeks on average, from point of payment to delivery. Please be aware that because of COVID-19, regardless of shipping service used, there may be delays that are out of our control.
How do you power the LED neon signs?
All of our signs connect directly into a standard power socket (with a plug that’s specific to the country you’re shipping to) and it comes with a 12V transformer.
How long do LED neon signs last?
LED neon lights tend to last a minimum of 30,000 hours. That is equivalent to 10 years if you turn on an LED neon sign for 10 hours per day. This lifespan is 3 times longer than traditional gas neon signs. Normally if there is a problem it’s usually the transformer that fails, however these are replaceable items and we can supply replacements if necessary, and if within the warranty period.
Does it require any maintenance?
Not at all. LED is environmentally friendly and maintenance free.

What’s the length of the power cord?
The cord connecting the LED neon sign to the dimmer box is 1.8 meters (6ft) long and is encased with a clear coating. There is an additional 1.2 meters (4ft) of cord connecting the dimmer box to the power adapter, and another 1 meter (3ft) connecting the power adapter to your plug. In total it’s nearly 4 meters (13ft) from the LED neon sign to your power plug.
How safe are LED neon signs?
Our LED neon signs are only 12V so run at a much safer voltage than traditional neon. Because of its low output voltage, no heat will be generated on the outer surface even after long hours of operation.
Will my neon sign require any specialist installation?
The majority of LED neon signs we supply are for internal use, and come mounted on an acrylic panel (making them easily portable), complete with a normal mains plug which can be plugged into an accessible plug socket. The sign simply needs to be fixed onto the wall, or suspended from a chain that we can supply as an optional accessory. LED neon signs for permanent external use, and some large internal LED neon signs, will require specialist installation.

What does the warranty cover?
We offer a 12 month guarantee on materials and workmanship on all of our LED neon signs. However, this guarantee does not extend to any damage that may occur as a result of incorrect installation or physical damage during usage.

Can you use any font or design to create an LED Neon Sign?
Yes, however some fonts and designs work better than others, like script and sans-serif fonts. We will recommend only monoline (equal width) fonts due to the type of tubing we are using. Calligraphy/brush styles can’t be replicated precisely. We are more than happy to advise and assist with your ideas.

What’s the process for custom orders?

Is there a minimum size that you need to work to?
We tend to work to a minimum letter height of around 10cm (4 inches), as we find that letters have better definition at this size. It is possible to make letters smaller than this, but larger letters tend to display better. Generally, this also means we offer a minimum sign size of 50cm, and usually work up to a maximum of 300cm - however, email our team at support@neonaffair.com if you have additional questions regarding size considerations.

Sizing
We always aim to make your design into an LED neon sign as accurate as possible. Due to the complexity of some designs, smaller sizes (50cm - 75cm) may not always be possible; where this is the case we’ll reach out to you and offer alternatives.
Big Signs
In certain instances larger signs need to be cut into two for shipment purposes, this is to avoid any damage during transport. This won't affect the overall appearance of your LED neon sign; when a sign needs to be cut in two we’ll contact you for confirmation, or to explore the possibility of producing the sign in a smaller size.

Once your sign is in transit, our team will send you the tracking number so you can follow the delivery.
Returns/Cancellation
For fully custom/bespoke pieces we can't accept cancellation or returns after payment due to change of mind unfortunately, as all pieces are one off made to order. All sales are final once placed on site. If your piece is faulty or has any error, of course we can accept a return or replacement for you.
For pre-set designed signs, we can accept a return within 14 days of receipt if the product is unused and is in the same condition and packaged like when it was first received.
In the very unlikely case of your piece arriving broken or faulty, you have 7 days from the day of tracked delivery to let us know via email at support@neonaffair.com and we will deliver a replacement free of charge.
We offer a 12 month guarantee on all pieces, so if your piece breaks or stops working in any way during this period just let us know and we will replace it free of charge! :)
To make your Christmas shopping a little less stressful, we've introduced a Christmas returns policy across our pre-set ranges only, valid between 1st November 2021 and 24th December 2021.
Any purchases made between these dates can be returned for a refund up until 28th January 2022. For purchases made from 24th December onwards, our normal refund policy applies.
